All sandwiches were filled with peanut butter and jelly. During the attempt, 2,210 loaves of bread, 1,156 kg (2,550 lb) of peanut butter, and 936 kg (2,065 lb) of jelly were used. By the end of the hour, all of the sandwiches were wrapped and packaged for immediate delivery to a variety of area charities and organizations.
